David Dawson

David Dawson – Head of Security

A Lancashire lad, born in Rochdale, lived mainly in Oldham.

Educated at Grange Secondary School left at sixteen to become a Police Cadet, once eighteen Dave became a regular police officer and served in Greater Manchester Police for thirty years. Served six years on the beat, two years in CID, and as a Communications Officer. He was awarded Chief Constable’s Bravery Award following the Toxteth Riots in 1981, along with The Queen’s Jubilee Medal and Long Service and Good Conduct medals.

Dave left the police and lived in Spain for eleven years, but became sick of the sunshine so moved back to the UK in 2015, relocating to Shropshire and joining the team at Trevanion & Dean as head of security. Dave is a keen football fan and supports Oldham Athletic (there are more downs than ups, but he lives in hope!), a keen golf, darts and bowls player, Dave enjoys gardening and eating out.
