COVID-19 Statement

Please read for an update regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

To all our valued customers, client and friendsWe have taken the responsible step of closing our auction rooms to the public from today (Monday 23rd March) for the foreseeable future. This comes during a fast-developing national crisis whereby all of us will play a part – to social distance and to stay at home.

We close with a heavy heart but safe in the knowledge that we are doing our best to protect our wonderful team in Whitchurch, the communities we serve and wider society.

We strongly urge all of our customers to stay at home. We also urge other businesses who do not provide vital services to continue doing the best for their communities by closing their doors to the public.


This was a very successful auction with most of the lots selling online or on the phone.


Vendor payment schedules and terms for all our auctions will be made as normal.  As per our conditions of sale, vendors for this auction will be paid on 3rd April (provided that we have been paid by the buyer).


The March 14th Auction buyer payment deadline is 23rd March.

Invoices have been emailed and need to be settled by Monday March 23rd.  As normal, payment should be made by BACS (details are on the email accompanying your invoice). Please call us on 01948 800 202 to arrange alternative ways of payment if necessary.


We can hold on to purchased items / not-sold items for as long as necessary during this period. However, if you are very keen to receive items from our March auction please arrange for collection of these from our saleroom (The Joyce Building, Station Road, Whitchurch, Shropshire, SY13 1RD). This can be done by calling Christina Trevanion on 01948 800 202 and organising a pre-arranged time.

A Trevanion & Dean team member will need to travel to the saleroom from their home to open the saleroom.  Our colleagues will take every precaution to keep the collection safe, this may mean the client waiting in the car, please do not be offended by this, we are doing our best to protect you. No goods will be released if the invoice has not been settled. We are no longer able taking payments at the office.


All scheduled auctions have for the moment been postponed until further notice.


We can still provide valuations by email free of charge, please see our guide to selling here.


We are willing to provide probate valuations for solicitors or private clients in this period, providing our requests with regards to social-distancing are met.

For urgent enquiries please do not hesitate to contact us. We are still actively working but taking this course of action to limit personal contact as per the authorities’ guidelines.

I will continue to monitor the situation and Government Guidance carefully and will react accordingly to help keep you and my staff safe.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to you – our customers, for your loyalty and understanding throughout these exceptional times. It is the kindness and support that we give to each other, and especially the most vulnerable members of our communities, that will help us to get through these unprecedented times.
